Jumbo Vs Standard Index

A playing Card's Index refers to the collective corner markings of your playing card. These corner markings are commonly known as pips. When we are talking about the index we are referring to the corner pips, since the Ace - Ten card also has pips in the center of the playing card.

Below is an example of a Jumbo Indexed playing card. Jumbo indexed playing cards are also knows as Super indexed, Big Faced and large numbered playing cards.   As you can see the playing card rank (the numbers and letters) is larger and so is the suit below the rank.  However, also notice that since the jumbo corner pips have taken more room on the playing card the center pips (inside the box) are now a little smaller to accomodate the larger corner pips.  So the actual center pips and Royalty images (Jack-King) are smaller on Jumbo Indexed playing cards.   A Jumbo Indexed playing card is easier to see from far away, but for games with hole cards (texas Hold'em) you do have to lift your cards up much higher to peek.

The Jumbo Indexed Kem Card:

Below we are preseninting an example of a regular indexed playing card.  Regular indexed playing cards are also known as standard indexed, little numbered, amd small corners.  As you can see the playing card rank (the numbers and letters) is smaller and so is the suit below the rank.  However, also notice that since the small corner pips have taken less room on the playing card the center pips (inside the card are now a little larger to accomodate the extra space left by the corner pips.  So the actual center pips and Royalty images (Jack-King) are larger on regular Indexed playing cards.   A regular Indexed playing card is more difficult to see from far away.  So for games with a community board (Texas Hold'em) you may have to strain to see all of the board.

The Regular Indexed Kem Card:

Yes, both cards have advantages and disadvantages for Poker.  The casino market has leaned heavily towards using regular index.  About 75% of the market uses a regular index.  Of course, you need to decide what is best for your game!

There are also different indexes that are made by Kem and other companies.  However, Regular and Jumbo are the two most popular.
